What did you do as a child that you feel guilty about even to this day?

While growing up, my family raised baby chickens, correct term 'chicks' in our backyard at my hometown in Malaysia. I was 5 or 6 years old when I started adoring chicks. I played endlessly and sometimes refuse to eat my meals unless the chicks ate with me as well. I know it sounds weird, but I was so young at that time *blush*.

One morning, my dad took me to the local supermarket to get some meat from our butcher. I was so excited when we arrived. I saw chicks are sold in the market as well. But I was more intrigued with the variety of colors on the furry feathers of the chicks. I was so anxious to own all of them. Heck, dad had to buy for me. I got them home and immediately try to get the colored chicks acquainted with the dull ones.

Over few days, it became a dull routine playing the same games with the baby chicks. So, I cooked up a strange idea (don't forget, I was only 5 years old at that time), and decided to bury the baby chicks in the ground. I only bury till it's neck, meaning the baby chicks head were sticking out on the ground. And I continued playing with the baby chicks till my mom came and rescued them, the same day, not to worry. At that time, I thought they looked so adorable with colorful fur and beak, pecking away in the afternoon dust. Now, whenever I see a baby chick, I feel so guilty of what I did when I was a child. I wish I could turn back the time. Please forgive me baby chicks. I have repent from my mistakes.

xoxo
